On Thursday, May 19th, Mrs. Mia Hall was honored at the Second Annual Girls Incorporated of Tarrant County Celebration Breakfast and Awards Ceremony with the 2011 Bold Woman Award.
Each year, the Bold Woman Award honors an outstanding woman in Tarrant County for her contribution to the community and her courage, confidence, and character. In addition, each Bold Woman must be an inspiring role model for girls in her community. Mrs. Hall has been chosen for her obvious committment to the young ladies of the YWLA, and for the rare determination she has demonstrated in pioneering the first all-girls public school in Fort Worth.
Mrs. Hall has worked closely with the Girls, Inc. program this year to develop a partnership for the YWLA campus. Girls, Inc. has been a part of our weekly advisory curriculum and has participated in our after-school program. Through this partnership, our young ladies have learned about strong character, team building, female empowerment, and community leadership.
We would like to thank Mrs. Hall for all she continues to do for the young ladies in our community and are proud she has been recognized with this honor!
