To meet the assessed needs for OD Wyatt High School the following actions were selected:
Second semester, an additional math class will be formed for each math teacher. Math teachers' smallest classes will be re-assigned to one of their other math classes and each math teacher will have a Problem-Solving Math class made up of students determined to be most in need of additional TEKS/TAKS-focused instruction using former TAKS scores and mini-assessments conduced bi-weekly. Problem-solving classes will focus on the TEKS student expectations. ALL core subject area teachers will use peer-teaching bi-weekly to assess use of Sheltered Instruction strategies to reach ALL students in reading.
