Principal - Richard Penland Richard.Penland@fwisd.org
I was born in Hartford, CT and lived in New England until I was 11 years old. My family moved to Arkansas, where I attended the University of Arkanas at Fayetteville (Go Hogs!) and graduated with my undergraduate degree in elementary education. I taught for two years as a third and sixth grade teacher in Little Rock and one year as a sixth grade science teacher in Kansas City, MO before moving to Fort Worth in 1997. I spent the next three years as a third grade teacher at Maude I. Logan Elementary School. After that, I began my adminstrative career as an Assistant Principal at Briscoe Elementary School and graduated from UTA with my Master of Educational Adminstration. I served as an assistant principal for 5 years then moved into the principalship. For the last three years, I have been the principal of Westpark Elementary School (Go Wildcats!). I currently reside in Dallas County with my daughter. |

Assistant Principal- Rebecca Forman Rebecca.Forman@fwisd.org
I am a first generation American, born in Ohio and raised in New York. I attended Brandeis University in Massachusetts and graduated with undergraduate degrees in elementary education, sociology, and women’s studies. I earned my master’s degree and administrator certification from TCU and have spent 15 years (both as a teacher and administrator) working with the FWISD. 2012-13 will be my second year as a Westpark Wildcat and I'm truly looking forward to serving our students and community. When I'm not balancing responsibilities at two schools, I spend time with the loves of my life - my husband, baby boy, and two dogs!
