Students and teachers at Western Hills High School seem bent on breaking a few eggs on their way to creating a "perfect" egg protection system. Recently, Tim Burson challenged his students to create an egg protection system that will be able to protect eggs when shot from a cattapult. April Altman reports that her Pre-AP Honors Physics students will be part of an Egg Drop Contest on Nov 3rd and Wednesday Nov. 4th out at the baseball field across the street. The students were challenged to construct a device (not to exceed 2.2lbs) that would house and protect an egg upon impact with the ground. Each team will be dropping their device from the top of the bleachers. It's shaping up to be a smashing event.
