The guidance program at Wedgwood Middle School is dedicated to helping all students by providing them with a safe and supporting environment regardless of a student's previous academic performance, family background, socioeconomic status, race or gender.  We believe that our program is responsible and accountable for fostering positive student growth in academics, citizenship and responsibility.

       Ms. Guess, an Air Force dependent, began school in Germany and graduated from Derby Senior High, in Derby, Kansas      She attained her Bachelor and Master's degree from Texas Wesleyan University.  She has been with FWISD for over 15 years.

Ms. Melba Hernandez, Counseling Secretary, has been a FWISD employee since 2000.  Before joining the Wedgwood family she has worked with Doctor's and Lawyers but finds that working int he Educational field, her most rewarding job.  Ms. Hernandez loves working with kids, parents, and the teachers/staff at Wedgwood.
