Advancement Via Indiviaul Determination is a college preparatory program designed to increase school-wide learning and performance.  The mission of AVID is to ensure that all students, especially those in the academic middle, are prepared to complete a college preparatory path.  The objectives of AVID are:

     To provide academic support to students and prepare them for eligibility to a four-year higher-learning institution.

     To provide students with strategies to develop college-level entry skills by becoming well organized, goal-setters and community builders through community service.  Ms. Gibson is the advisor for AVID.
