TABS Recognized for United Way Contributions
Fort Worth ISD’s 2011 United Way Campaign pledge totals have been finalized. The District’s students, staff and retirees have again dug deep into their pockets to collectively pledge $300,002.86, meeting the District’s goal!
United Way distributes this money to area agencies and organizations which provide crucial services to people in our community, including the FWISD. Here is how the contributions totals break down:
Students - $56,215.26
Staff - $241,742.60
Retirees - $2,045
The Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences was recently honored by the District and United Way for its contributions. The school will receive a BBQ lunch donated by Riscky’s Barbeque for having the Highest Per Capita Giving by Secondary School Staff.
