Mrs. Muñoz is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and is a proud product of the FWISD. She graduated from Northside High School in 1995, received her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University in 2000 and received her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Amberton University in 2007. She taught 1st-4th grade bilingual classes at Manuel Jara Elementary from 2000-2007. She then began her counseling career at Riverside Middle School in 2007, where she counseled 6th-8th grade students forthe next four years. Currently, Mrs. Muñoz is the full-time counselor at Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences. She is happily married to Aldo Muñoz, a FWISD AVID teacher and wondeful football coach, and has a beautiful daughter, Elise Giselle. She loves traveling, participating in the community with the Hispanic Woman's Network, family time and is a proud founding mother of her sorority, Sigma Delta Lambda, Inc. Her mission at Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences is to collaborate effectively with all students to ensure they receive a quality education within the FWISD. She firmly believes the students at TABS are the foundation to our future and looks forward to advising them academically, as well as, emotionally as they unravel their path to success.
Her motto is simple, "Quitters never win and winners NEVER quit."
