Hello, my name is Summer Riney, one of the two All St.A.R.S. teachers at the Sunrise-McMillian All St.A.R.S. program this year. This is my seventh year in education and fourth year with the All St.A.R.S. program. I have a love for education and especially enjoy working with teachers, students, and parents in the area of student social skills, positive behavior support, and  behavior change. All St.A.R.S. is an acronym meaning All Students  are Reaching Success.

As a member of the All St.A.R.S. team I believe….

• All students must be treated with dignity and respect.
• Students can and should be taught the skills and behaviors needed for success.
• Motivation and responsibility should be encouraged through positive interactions through building relationships with students.
• Student misbehavior provides a teaching opportunity.
• Collaboration is critical. All school staff members must work together to help students behave responsibly and to meet student needs.
