Greetings, my name is Mr. Franklin. I would like to welcome you to our class. I am excited about the opportunity to partner with you to reach and exceed the academic goals that will enable your child to be successful this year. I have 12 years in education with experience in the classroom. For the last four years I have been with the Fort Worth Independent School District.  I am a vocal advocate for reading.  I hope to instill a love of reading in your child as well this year. I have always believed that the ability to read and comprehend what you read is the most important skill a person can have. The topic of study for each week will be posted online. I will periodically post ideas on how to further enhance the current week’s topics at home.

My planning time is 1:55-2:45 PM except for Wednesdays. Wednesdays are the time we meet as a grade level to discuss academic plans to reach our goal of attaining an "exemplary" rating. Please feel free to call (817-815-3900) and leave a message with any questions or concerns you might have.
