My name is Mr. Mouton, principal at Sunrise McMillian home of "Jaguar Pride". I would like to welcome you to our school. I am excited about the opportunity to partner with you to reach and exceed the academic goals that will enable your child to be successful this year. I have 10 years in education with experience in the classrooms and various leadership positions. All of my experience has been with the Fort Worth Independent School District. I am glad you stopped by to visit our website. Let me first say that I am so glad to be part of the dynamic and energetic staff at Sunrise this McMillian year. We were recently named a PEAK school and tremendous changes have taken place.

One of my passions is reading and my desire is to instill that passion in your child as well this year. Please look for homework on a regular basis, and if your child says there is no homework, which will be highly unlikely, everyday they need to read for at least 45 minutes. Classroom Teachers grade level planning meetings are every Wednesday. Wednesdays are the time teachers and administrators meet to discuss academic plans to reach our goal of attaining a "exemplary" rating. Please visit your child's classroom via the web or at the school. One of our goals this year is to increase parental involvement. WE all know that it takes a village to raise a child so parents we want you completely involved in all that happens at Sunrise McMillian. We are looking for 100% participation in our PTO this year. I look forward to the many learning opportunities that we will be implementing this year. My door is always open and I look forward to seeing you this year.
