What: 2012 Tarrant County Back To School Roundup for free school supplies 

When: Wednesday, August 8, 2012, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. - But you must be pre-registered! 

Where: Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall, Will Rogers Center, 3401 W. Lancaster, Fort Worth 

Summary: The 2012 Tarrant County Back to School Roundup will take place on Wednesday, August 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall in the Will Rogers Center. 

This event provides free school supplies for school-aged children (ages 4-18) who reside in Tarrant County and who meet eligibility requirements. Elementary students will also receive a free backpack. Families must pre-register to be admitted to the Roundup and to receive the free supplies. 

There will be entertainment, giveaways, kids’ activities, free immunizations, free haircuts and free health screenings. The T will provide free bus service to those who have pre-registered and received a free bus voucher. 

Two pre-registration events are planned for Fort Worth ISD schools: 

-Wednesday, July 18 at Trimble Tech High School from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

-Wednesday, August 1 at Stripling Middle School from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

To qualify at any pre-registration locations you must meet the 2012 Poverty Guidelines. Bring a photo ID, proof of residency and proof of income. For more information, call 2-1-1.
