The Cowboys drafted Texas Tech Red Raider Defensive End Brandon Williams who played high school football at South Hills High School in Fort Worth.
Williams led the Big 12 with 13 sacks last year and left the Red Raiders after his junior year. He was a little slow in his 40 yard dash at the NFL combine but improved his speed during the workout the Cowboys put him through. He also impressed Dallas with his quick movement in the linebacker drop drills.
The Cowboys plan to move him from Defensive End to Outside Linebacker in the 3-4 scheme.
Williams was the 120th overall pick in the fourth round.
Williams graduated from South Hills in 2006.
