Principal
- Dorothy Gomez

Ms. Dorothy Gomez is a bilingual school administrator who has been teaching since 1990. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in the Dallas ISD where she rose to the position of Senior Executive Director directly supervising 34 secondary schools. Before coming to South Hills High School, Ms. Gomez served as Principal-at-Large for Texans Can! She has been a Teacher of the Year, a Principal of the Year and was named Outstanding Administrator Mentor by the University of Texas at Arlington. Ms. Gomez received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso and her M.Ed in Educational Administration from UT Austin.

 

 


Dean of Instruction -
Gillian Smoak

Gillian Smoak has been with the Fort Worth ISD since 1999. She taught for seven years as a 6th/7th grade Math Teacher at W.C. Stripling Middle School where she was awarded the Radio Shack Teacher Scholar Award in 2002.  In 2006 she became an Instructional Specialist at W.P. McLean Middle School for two years before moving to South Hills as an Assistant Principal and in 2009 became the Dean of Instruction.  Ms. Smoak graduated from Salisbury University, in Salisbury, Maryland, in 1999 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Mathematics.   Go Gulls!  She received her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas in Arlington in 2006. Gillian was born to a pair of army parents in Stuttgart, Germany.  She and her family have lived in seven states as well as overseas, but her military family has finally retired in Maryland.  She is an AVID Redskins fan and looks forward to Cowboys-Redskins games every year!    

 

 Cynthia Miles-Brown, Assistant Principal

 - Cynthia Miles

Cynthia Miles-Brown has been an educator for more than a decade, serving in FWISD for 4 years. She is a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned a B.A. in English and M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction.  She has served in education as an English teacher, Curriculum Specialist, and Administrator. She is a native of Fort Worth and a graduate of Poly Technical High School. Mrs. Miles-Brown is married and has two beautiful daughters. Her favorite quote is “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” -Nelson Mandela

 Brian Rosatelli, Assistant Principal

Assistant Principal - Brian Rosatelli

Brian L. Rosatelli has been with Fort Worth ISD since 2006.  After serving in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years, he taught 7th and 8th grade Science in Joshua ISD for 5 years.  He has been an Assistant Principal at Western Hills High School and has been at South Hills for 4 years.  Mr. Rosatelli received his B.S. in Social Psychology from Park University and his Masters in Education from Tarleton State University.  Mr. Rosatelli is married and has 2 children.  He loves good action movies, watching the Dallas Cowboys, lifting weights, and spending time with his family. 

Assistant Principal - Kelly McLean

Kelly McLean earned both her BBA in Accounting and M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UTA.  Mrs. McLean is a product of Fort Worth ISD and has been in education since 1995.  She taught high school math for many years as well as family and consumer sciences.  Mrs. McLean loves sports and grew up playing baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, and basketball.  In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, entertaining, and watching movies.  She has been happily married for over ten years, has a son, a daughter, three cats, and two dogs.

Assistant Principal - Dale Daniel

Dale Daniel has been at South Hills High School since 2002. After serving over 27 years in the United States Army and rising to the rank of Command Sergeant Major, Mr. Daniel joined the faculty of South Hills as a JROTC Instructor. Mr. Daniel has earned his Bachelor Degrees from Columbia College and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Texas, Arlington. Mr. Daniel has several interests including, traveling, flying, sports (playing and watching), animals and has won or placed in several chili cooking competitions. Mr. Daniel has been a Cowboys’ fan since Don Meredith was throwing passes to Bob Hayes. Go COWBOYS!
