Mrs. Granados graduated from Texas Wesleyan in 2000, with a B.S. degree in Biology and a minor education and Chemistry.  She began her quest for teaching within the bilingual classroom and has since worked with both elementary and adult education.  She was formally a Literacy Coach for FWISD and has taught for eight years. Along the way, she had wonderful mentors who guided and revealed the need for quality educators.  In 2006, she received her Masters in Education with Administrative Certification from Texas Wesleyan University within the Polytechnic community.  Today Mrs. Granados says she’s “proud to acknowledge a passion for differentiated instruction and is honored to be an intricate part of contemporary education.”  “ Without teachers, we may have nothing, but without our students we have less.”

Her favorite past times include hiking, reading realistic fiction, cooking with her family, gardening, and listening to music.  She also enjoys traveling with family and friends and visiting native North Texas prairies. Now, she dedicates her time to our students, teachers, families, and friends within the T.A. Sims community where learning and growing move them forward-- together. With this, she’s delighted and honored to be acquainted with such charisma and adoration at our school.

Mrs. Granados welcomes every child to success.

School Nurse-Joyceline Sakwa

I graduated from the University of Texas Arlington with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.  During my community health attachment with Mansfield independent School district I fell in love with school nursing which is more of preventive care. I was introduced to Fort Worth Independent School District by my former college mate. It’s great being part of the Fort Worth ISD health services and faculty of T. A. Sims Elementary because of the great team work; I enjoy working as the school nurse.
