SPARK AN IDEA! An Applied Learning Project: How RALC got it’s flag!
Cage Cardona came up with an idea for a school flag, just like the Texas flag and the American flag.
So that’s how the big project started.
Artists
Students in Mrs. Cervantez’s class made Individual designs of what they thought the flag should look like. There were 12 flags entered. In the end we only had 6 flags. We put them on display and started to make voting polls.

Take Your Pick
The students picked their favorite flag, but they chose only 1.
Whenever the voters were finished, we made an announcement that we would have the results by tomorrow.
HOW MUCH MONEY?
The PTA donated over $450.00. We ordered enough flags for the whole school!
So we would like to thank them for making this flag project so successful!!!!
THE MOMENT OF TRUTH!
Announcements were made for the winner.
The winner is Nancy, NOT!
The REAL winner is . Don, don, don, don . . . Aurelio!
Thank you for voting for our school flag!
Now we have a school flag to blow in the wind!
Oh! Did we forget to tell you what the colors represent?
* Yellow- Respectful
* Blue –Life long learning
* Dolphin- Never give up.
