Mrs. Cabrera is our Parents as Teachers teacher here at Riverside ALC.  She has been in this program for 8 years.  She has a caseload of pregnant moms and children from 0-4years in age.  We share her with Bonnie Brae Elementary, so she has 42 children or moms to work with in this program.  She does home visits, screens the children for developmental delays or language delays.  She will also learn about the children intellectually, social-emotional development and fine/gross motor skills.  The children's hearing is also evaluated while in the program.  If the child need additional help they are referred to child-find or ECI.  She works with them in the classroom learning how to learn and how to teach for the moms.  It is a wonderful program where many of the children in this classroom continue on here at RALC!
