Walkathon

Ridglea Hill's 5th Annual Walkathon on October 2 was a great success!  We surpassed our goal through the generous donations of our community.  Thank you so much!  The kids were well-behaved and the weather was perfect!  Please thank  Mary Claire Sullivan and  Michelle Henderson for their outstanding work. Individual prizes were awarded on Thursday, October 8.  Many classes reached their goal of raising $1000 and will receive a popcorn party.  Rachel Stephens won the grand prize of a laptop and printer for bringing in the largest amount in donations.

We would also like to thank the many volunteers for walking with classes, manning water stations, passing out popcicles and many other behind the scenes activities.  A special thank you goes out to Mr. Mayer for  leading the Walkathon with his motorcycle.  He was joined by Bob King-Director of Choral Music, Ken Torres-Director of Student Assessment, and Paul Kaufman-Principal of Boulevard Heights.  Mrs. Lampkins wore a chicken suit for the kids after the reached her challenge, and Mr. Slaton wore a dress and rode a bike for reaching his goal. We have a great community supporting our students!  Take a look at our slideshow posted under Photo Galleries!

This is one of our PTA's main fundraisers supporting Fine Arts Day, Field Day, Talent Show, RIF, AR and many other fun events.  Our PTA is working with the school to provide additional technology and will soon begin a beautification project.  One hundred percent of all donations will go back to Ridglea Hills. Thank you for your support.  Our teachers appreciate your hard work, and the kids are enjoying the  cool prizes!
