The second year of the A.M. Pate Elementary School Parents/Teachers Association (PTA) has been very eventful. Activities have included Welcome Back bottled water for parents, participation in the warm clothes drive and the Ronald McDonald House offering with Student Council, the school yearbook, and the school store.
Voluteer Opportunities have included Open House, the Winter Celebration and Staff Appreciation event, Family Math Night, Family Literacy Night, the Student Council Induction Ceremony and meetings, field trips, and teacher classroom projects.

| The A.M. Pate Elementary School Parents/Teachers Association (PTA) was created in September 2010.
A general meeting was held in the Library. Many parents and community members attended and we had more than 50 people join that night.
Officers were nominated and elected. The 2010/2011 PTA officers were:
A. Wilson - President
K. Caise - Vice President
R. Walters - Treasurer
L. Lynch - Secretary
G. Greer - Historian
J. Fowler Gray - Parliamentarian
The A.M. Pate PTA received its charter on March 25, 2011. The charter was presented by Faye Watson, the first Vice President of the FWISD Council of PTAs. At the general meeting, the PTA presented the last meeting's minutes, and the activities thus far. Activities in the PTA's first year included providing the meat for staff appreciation at Christmas, the Drive for Smiles campaign in partnership with the A.M. Pate Student Council, and Box Tops for Education and Capri Sun pouch collection. |
