Mike Lara- Math and Science
Mr. Lara was born in Pecos, Texas. He obtained a bachelor's degree at Texas Christian University ion Management and a Master Degree in Management Science from the University of Texas. Lara has been teaching 1996, all with Fort Worth ISD. He spends his free time with his grandkids, who vary from 3 to 12 years old, and other family and friends. Lara enjoys basketball, baseball, football and eating out. |

Sonia Middlebrook- Regular Program
Ms. Middlebrook was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She has travelled many places due to her parents being in military. She enjoys working with children. Her passion for teaching started at the age 9 in her garage. She would play school and was always the teacher. Middleboork has three boys. She enjoys basketball, skating and cooking. She has been in Fort Worth ISD since 2000. |

Dawn Lewis- ESL Program
Ms. Lewis-Johnson was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She finished her Bachelor in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri, then a Master of Arts in Linguistics from California State Long Beach. She spent 7 years living in Asia before settling back in the US to begin teaching in the public schools. After teaching 6th and 7th grade math in Austin, Ms. Lewis-Johnson came to Oaklawn in 2010. Ms. Lewis-Johnson has 4 children and loves running, cooking, and teaching!
