Principal- Sonia Anguiano
Ms. Anguiano was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She received her bachelor's degree at Texas Women’s University and a master's degree from University of Texas in Arlington. She studied Education and later received her Principal certification. Anguiano taught for 3 years, and then became an Instructional Specialist for 4 years. She has been with Fort Worth ISD since 2001. She loves to spend time with her family, go out to eat and play soccer.
"I am very honored to have been selected as the principal for Oaklawn Elementary and I look forward to continue working with the faculty, staff, parents, students and the Oaklawn community," Ms. Anguiano said. "I enjoy spending time in the classrooms and talking to students about what they are learning. I believe that every student has the potential to be successful in school and in life."

Literacy Coach- Claudia Basey
Ms. Basey was born in Augusta, Georgia. She moved a lot, so she went to three different high schools. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and as a typical Texas Longhorn, her favorite color is burnt orange. She has been teaching since 1989. Basey has worked for Fort Worth ISD since 1991. She likes to create necklaces and bracelets using beads. Basey has a teenage son.

Testing Coordinator and Data Analyst - Melissa Russell
Mrs. Russell was born in Abilene, Texas, and then moved to Fort Worth in her teens. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Abilene Christian University. Upon graduation, Mrs. Russell began teaching 4th grade in Fort Worth ISD at Sam Rosen Elementary and then later moved to Washington Heights Elementary. In 2009, she completed her Masters Degree in Educational Administration at Lamar University. Mrs. Russell served as a Literacy Coach for six years before coming to Oaklawn as the Testing Coordinator and Data Analyst. She is married and has twin three year olds - 1 boy and 1 girl. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, and reading. |

Counselor- Angela Crump
Mrs. Angela Crump was raised in Oceanside, California. She earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and a Masters in Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. She has been an educator for Carter Park Elementary, part of Fort Worth ISD since 1998. Mrs. Crump has two children, Kayla and Kenneth. She enjoys watching her children compete in select basketball. Mrs. Crump believes in the limitless capabilities of all students, and is committed to helping them reach their highest potential.

Science Co-teacher- Jenn Ellis
Ms. Ellis is from a small town outside of Fort Worth called Azle where she was raised by her parents with an older sister and a younger brother. She has been teaching in Fort Worth ISD for a few years, always teaching 4th grade, which she loves. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends doing just about anything. Her favorite hobbies include boating during the summertime and playing sand volleyball (Ellis loves warm weather!). Ellis has one precious little boy and a dog named Cooper. |
