Principal- Margarita Garcia
Ms. Garcia was born in El Paso, Texas. She completed a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies at University of Texas at El Paso and her Master of Education Administration at University of Texas at Arlington. Garcia worked at Ysleta ISD, and San Elizario ISD before becoming a 4th grade teacher for Fort Worth ISD. She later became Assistant Principal at Sam Rosen Elementary and Principal at Washington Heights Elementary before accepting the assignment at Oaklawn. She believes that educators have the obligation to set strong social and academic foundations for kids in order to ensure their future success. Garcia is very excited about the opportunity to create and establish a best practices campus that will be of great benefit to our kids. |

Assistant Principal- Sonia Anguiano
Ms. Anguiano was born in Fort Worth Texas. She received her bachelor's degree at Texas Women’s University and a master's degree from University of Texas in Arlington. She studied Education and later received her Principal certification. Anguiano taught for 3 years, and then became an Instructional Specialist for 4 years. She has been with Fort Worth ISD since 2001. She loves to spend time with her family, go out to eat and play soccer. |

Math Coach- Lakita Davis-Turner
Lakita Turner-Davis is a mother of a 9 year old boy and 3 year old girl. She is a product of Fort Worth ISD. She choose to return to the area so she could give back to the community that set the foundation for who she is today. She received her bachelor’s degree from Jarvis Christian College and her master’s degree with principal certification from the University of Texas at Arlington. Ms. Turner- Davis taught mathematics in middle school since 2000 before becoming an Elementary Math Coach at Oaklawn. Her greatest pleasure is to help others. |

Assessment and Data Analyst- Grace B. del Valle
Ms. del Vallle was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she completed a Bachelor Degree in Public Communications. She was a seventh and eigth grade teacher before she moved to Texas in 2005. She taught second and third grade bilingual classes in Seminary Hills Park Elementary before she moved to Oaklawn as the Assessment and Data Analyst. She completed a Master Degree in Education Administration from National University and is currently in school working towards her Ed. D. at University of Phoenix. Del Valle is the mother of three and lives happily in Fort Worth with her two dogs, her cat and her turtle. |

Counselor- Shakia Easley
Ms. Easley was born in Darlington, South Carolina. Her parents were in the Navy so she spent some time moving around in California and Texas before finally settling down in Plano, Texas. She graduated from Plano East Senior High School. Ms. Easley continued her education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. While working on her bachelor’s degree, she studied abroad in Costa Rica and Spain. She doubled majored in Spanish and education with a specialization in math. After a year of teaching, she decided to go back get her Master’s in counseling from Tarleton State University in school counseling. She has been teaching since 2004 and joined Fort Worth ISD in 2006. Ms. Easley loves playing spades, listening to music, and playing with her cat Willie.

Co-teacher- Claudia Basey
Ms. Basey was born in Augusta, Georgia. She moved a lot, so she went to three different high schools. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and as a typical Texas Longhorn, her favorite color is burnt orange. She has been teaching since 1989. Basey has worked for Fort Worth ISD since 1991. She likes to create necklaces and bracelets using beads. Basey has a teenage son. |
