What: Groundbreaking for North Side High School Addition & Culinary Arts Facility

When: Thursday, September 13, 2012, 10:30 a.m.

Where: North Side High School, 2211 McKinley Avenue, Fort Worth

Summary: A special groundbreaking ceremony will be conducted on Thursday, September 13, 2012 for the North Side High School Addition and Culinary Arts Facility. This unusually visual event will get underway at 10:30 a.m.

 The new construction will provide the school with:

  • 48,040 square feet of additional space
  • 2 full production kitchens; 2 demonstration kitchens with six learning stations each; 4 culinary classrooms
  • a dining hall that seats 150 with outdoor dining for 20
  • 17 core classrooms and one writing lab

This project will have a construction cost of $11,297,000 and will be funded from savings generated during the 2007 Capital Improvement Program.
