Principal - Ronnita Carridine

I was Born in Michigan but raised all over the country. I have moved a total of 15 times in my life from the east coast to the west coast, south and mid-west.  I have received degrees from Temple University (B.A. in Communications and M.Ed.), Brite Divinity at Texas Christian University (M.T.S. - Master of Theological Studies), and I am a Doctoral Candidate at TCU. I have taught in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and of course Texas, specifically in Fort Worth: Edward J. Briscoe Elementary (Teacher and Instructional Specialist), Lowery Road (Vice Principal) and West Handley (Principal).  My philosophy about teaching/education is Efficacy, Equity, Equality, Empathy, Excellence and - most importantly – Empowerment.  What excites me most about the challenge as a PEAK principal is the opportunity to serve the students and families in the community, to build teams and lasting relationships, and to equip and armor our students with strategies for future success in a global world.  It is an honor being the steward of such a great school. Servant Leadership requires service to all. As a community, we will rise to the call of excellence!

Data Analyst - Sandra Daley

After graduating with the class of 1998 from Texas A&M University, I came to work in the Fort Worth Independent School District.  My career began as a 4th grade teacher at Briscoe Elementary School.  I taught there until transferring to South Hi Mount Elementary school where I continued teaching 4th grade Reading and Writing for 6 years.  I then decided to come and be apart of a PEAK campus.   I am now in my 11th year as an eduactor, and am Morningside Elementary School's Assessment and Data Analyst.  This means I coordinate our tutoring program, Saturday School, and all of the state and local testing that our students are required to take.  I look forward to many more years of working with our wonderful staff, students, and community.

SIP Coordinator - Caroline Hill

As Special Interest Coordinator for Morningside Elementary School, I work with students who are advanced learners in mathematics, science, and technology. The Special Interest Program also encompasses advanced academics in all core curriculum and is the only advanced academic program at the elementary school level. In addition, I coordinate identifcation and work with students who are gifted and talented.  I sponsor the Student Council, chair the History and Science Fairs, Invention Convention, and serve as the Real Schoools Garden Coordinator.

Working in the Fort Worth Independent School District for the past twelve years, I have been at Morningside Elementary for three years. Prior to coming to the Special Interest Program, I was at Luella Merrett Elementary School for nine years teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades in a multi-age setting.

I graduated from University of Texas at El Paso in 1979. I have work on graduate programs in Gifted and Talented Education at TCU and the University of Connecticut.

Prior to teaching I worked as a merchandise manager for Farah Manufacturing Inc. and traveled the globe working on fabric selections and garment manufacturing in New York City, across Europe and Asia.

Counselor - Jennifer Miller

I am proud to have served the Morningside community for the past twelve years.  I began working with children at a very young age, and decided to make education my life’s work.  I attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  I taught kindergarten in Guam for two years before coming to live in Texas.  I was hired at Morningside Elementary in 1996, and taught kindergarten for six years.  Beginning in 2001, I started working toward my degree in guidance and counseling at Texas Christian University.  I received my Master’s and was lucky enough to be hired as the guidance counselor here at Morningside Elementary.  During my off hours, my hobbies include:  reading, traveling, swimming, and playing tennis.  However, my first priority will always be working for Morningside students and the surrounding community.

Nurse - Nicole Litsitza

I am registered nurse. I went to college and majored in pre-med with a minor in several languages. I became a school nurse in 1990, gaining experience in psychiatric nursing, pediatric, neonatal intensive care, normal nursery and postpartum. I taught French for one year at my university in New York. At first, I wanted so much to be a doctor, some of the doctors that I have worked with tried to encourage me to go to med school. I decided to use the money for my children’s school. I don’t regret anything anymore. I am glad to be a nurse.
