D. McRae Elementary was organized in 1917 and became a part of the Fort Worth ISD in 1922. It was named for Duncan McRae, an early county School Superintendent from 1894 to 1900. The original building was demolished in 1989. The current D. McRae Building was built in 1990.
D. McRae Elementary School community is a caring place in which we work daily to instill the importance of maintaining a high level of respect for one another. We work together with staff, students, parents, and community members to establish standards of excellence for our school. I am looking forward, as well, to working hand-in-hand with all members of our school community to achieve goals that we develop as a team.
