This is Mr. Miller’s seventh year to work at D. McRae Elementary.  Mr. Miller was an Assistant Principal and Instructional Specialist prior to becoming the principal.   Mr. Miller taught for 9 years.  He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts Degree from Texas Wesleyan University. 

My name is Penny Clanton and I began working for FWISD as a 3^rd grade bilingual teacher in 1996.  Prior to that I was an Adopt a School volunteer for Daggett Elementary for Pier 1 Imports.  My career with FWISD has ranged from being a 3^rd grade and 1^st grade Bilingual/Modified Bilingual/and ESL teacher to being a Bilingual Specialist for the district in 2005-2006 & 2007-2008.   I am now in my second year as an Assistant Principal for D. McRae Elementary and I am enjoying it tremendously.  It is such a joy working with dedicated professionals who believed as I do in putting children first.

Assistant Principal - Swymeala Lampkins

My name is Swymeala Lampkins and I have been working in Fort Worth ISD for 15 years, I began my career as a Classroom Teacher at I.M. Terrell Elementary for 8 years under the leadership of Dr. Vera Brooks-Ray. In that timeframe I obtained my Master’s Degree from Texas Christian University as well as profound experience in the area of educating and impacting all students, it was during this time in my life I made it my life-long quest to impact ,educate and support not only students but classroom teachers. I was elated when I was elevated to an Assistant Principal at Ridglea Hills Elementary School. For 7 years I dedicated my time and energy to build relationships with students, parents, and staff I will forever treasure my experience at RH, and I will continue to implement the sample principles instilled in me at my “New Home” at D McRae with a “Smile”.
