McLean 6th Wins Whiz Quiz Championship
The McLean 6th Grade Whiz Quiz team put the finishing touches on an undefeated season with a championship victory over Daggett Montessori on Monday, January 30. It's the fourth straight year McLean 6th has won the District championship!

The final score over Daggett Montessori was 350 to 255. Earlier in the night, McLean 6th defeated Riverside 405 to 235 in semi-final competition.
Whiz Quiz is the “GE College Bowl” styled academic competition that has been a tradition in the FWISD since the 1977-78 school year. This “sport of knowledge” requires 6th grade, 7th & 8th grade and high school academic teams to accurately answer brain stretching questions faster than their opponents.
Students from the District's award-winning Advanced Media Program, or AMP, captured all the Whiz Quiz action live! Follow this link to watch the video or click the image to the right.
During the season and pre-season, the McLean 6th team practiced or played three times per week.
The Whiz Quiz team includes: Jacob Coffey, Jason Guenther, Hanuel Jung, Jack Klinger, Bennett Lasater, Connor Nolan, Kyle Raines, Joseph Reitman, Sam Thielman, Aaron Turner, and Misa Womack. Gabriella Drago is the team manager, Mr. Bouton is the coach and sponsor and Mrs. Gonzalez is the moderator.
Congratulations on a well-deserved victory!
