Atwood McDonald Elementary School opened in 1967. It was named after Judge Atwood McDonald, a former school board president in FWISD. Enrollment for our campus is approximately 625 students at this time. A new wing of 8 classrooms was added through the capital improvement program and opened in the fall of 2011. Another aspect of the capital improvement program which benefitted our campus was the installation of Promethean interactive white boards to all classrooms. Our campus also includes a well-equipped computer lab, as well as a science lab, that can be utilized by all grade levels for hands-on science instruction.
