 Mrs. Perry   

Principal--Anitra Perry

Mrs. Anitra Perry has served as principal since August 2001. Mrs. Perry earned her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of North Texas and a Masters degree in Education from the University of Texas at Arlington. She enjoys reading, but her favorite things to do are to spend time with her family and travel.

   

 Vice-Principal--Paula Silva

Ms. Silva rejoined our faculty after spending three years as vice-principal at Leonard 6th grade center. Ms. Silva earned her principal's certification from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006. Prior to that, she earned a Masters degree in Mathematics Education from Texas State University and a Bachelors of Science from the University of North Texas. Ms. Silva previously taught at Atwood for six years as a 4th grade math teacher before serving as our Instructional Specialist for two years. Ms. Silva is married and has three children at home. She was born in Virginia.

Donna Calvey

Secretary--Donna Calvey

Mrs. Calvey has served as our school secretary for six years. She acts as receptionist, answering phone calls and handling inquiries from parents and staff. She also collects and accounts for any money received and maintains our campus payroll information.

 Ms. Henry  

Data Clerk--Keilani Henry

Mrs. Henry has served as our data clerk for five years. She does an outstanding job at keeping our student attendance and academic records accurate while also managing the many withdrawal and enrollment requests that occur throughout the year.

 

 Mrs. Travis  

 

Counselor--Mildred Travis

Ms. Travis joined the Atwood McDonald in 2010 after 12 years in the field of education. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Prairie View A&M University, a Master's degree in Educational Administration from UT Arlington, as well as Master's degree in school counseling from Tarleton State University. She believes that children truly are our future and that an effort must be made daily to help them realize their value to society.  

 Ms. Dean-Shaw  

 

Nurse--Jacqueline Dean-Shaw 

Ms. Shaw joined the Atwood staff in August 2011 after working in the private sector the majority of her healthcare career. She has previous experience as a school nurse in Dallas County. Ms. Dean-Shaw holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University and two Masters from Dallas Baptist University. She has a son, a daughter, and five grandchildren. “I firmly believe that one person can make a difference.”
