 Principal- Sonya Williams

Mrs. Sonya Williams accepted the quest of challenging leadership at Maude Irene Logan Elementary in Fort Worth ISD eight years ago.  Her love for children and a need to give them what is needed to become productive citizens …a solid foundation in education, has always been the passion that drives her.  After Graduating from Texas Tech University, Mrs. Williams taught in Toledo Ohio, Murfreesboro, Tennessee and St Louis, Missouri.

Mrs. Williams believes that the very best way to support a student’s academic success is teaching them at a young age the importance and value of learning to read.  As she visits neighborhood churches, Boys and Girls Clubs and community functions, she challenges stakeholders to dedicate and model reading every day.  Closing the achievement gap must include providing students with highly rigorous classroom experiences.  As you visit the Maude Irene Logan Elementary campus hallways, you will always see quality student work posted.  Students are celebrated with good behavior through the Tiger Cub of the Month Club, Student Council, Safety Patrol and classroom contest for perfect attendance.  This year all students with perfect attendance will win a bicycle donated by their campus partners, Fort Worth Women’s Policy Forum.  Maude Irene Logan is an excellent place to learn and develop lifelong skills.  Sonya Williams is honored to be a part of the staff, families and community!
