Leonard's Counselors

 Ms. Sharyn Gats

Ms. Sharyn Gats - Intervention Specialist
 

Ms. Gats was born and raised in Texas. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from California State University and her Master's from UTA. She has been an Intervention Specialist since 1987. Ms. Gats is married, has one son and two daughters. She likes to read, travel and play board games with her grandchildren. Her goal for Leonard Middle School is academic success for all children by helping them to resolve social, emotional and behavior issues.

 Ms. Deedra Wynn

Ms. Deedra Wynn - Counselor

Deedra Wynn grew up in Oklahoma; she is a graduate of Weatherford High School.  She received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and her Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.  Ms. Wynn's goals are to encourage young people to become lifelong learners and problem solvers who dare to make a difference.

 Ms. Marian Mayfield

 

Ms. Marian Mayfield - Counselor

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas Ms. Mayfield is a graduate of R.L. Paschal High School.  She received a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas and her Master of Social Work Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Mayfield received her Teaching Certification at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, and a Masters in Counseling Education from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. This is her first year at Leonard, although she has been a counselor for 15 years. Ms. Mayfield has a daughter and a granddaughter who is the apple of her eye.  Her goal for Leonard Middle is to help our students become responsible, productive citizens in society and promote academic success.
