Honor Choir Success

Students from the James excelled in competition.  FWISD Honor Choir competition was on October 17th at Wedgewood Middle School and Region VII Choir competition was on October 22nd at Granbury Middle School in Granbury, Texas.  Our students competed against about 260 other students in the District Meet and over 650 students in the Region Meet.

Seven of our students were chosen for the FWISD Honor Choir:

Celeste McDonald - Alto II

Cody Gothard - Tenor I

Derien Houston - Tenor II

Nico Ohayon-Wilkenson - Bass I

When you see those that are in the top chairs, especially the 1st and 2nd chairs, this means they are at the top of their ability in this region.  Every student gave an amazing effort and extra hours of after school rehearsal time to prepare for the competitions.  Their hard work will be commended in the upcoming concerts.
