Dolores Huerta Elementary

is named after the civil rights leader, Dolores Huerta.
The school was first opened for the 2004-2005 school year. We were built in an effort to relieve the over-crowding of W.J. Turner, Sam Rosen and Kirkpatrick Elementary Schools.
In just it's fifth year of operation, in the 2007-2008 school year, Dolores Huerta achieved Recognized status by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and once again for 2008-2009.
The staff at Dolores Huerta is glad to have and welcomes our new principal Ms. Carla Coscia. We are committed to helping every student achieve their maximum potential through team work.

Ms. Carla Coscia is our third principal with Mrs. Yadira Martinez having been the first. Mrs. Martinez retired after having served the Fort Worth ISD many years, five of which at Dolores Huerta as principal.
