Natha Howell History

A Brief History of Our School

Our school was originally named Oak Knoll Elementary. As you enter the main front doors, you will see the name engrave above the doors that go into the front hall. The school was later named Natha Howell Elementary after former teacher and principal, Natha Howell.

Miss Howell began teaching in Fort Worth in 1931. She came to Oak Knoll Elementary in 1944 as a teacher and became the school's principal during the 1948-1949 school year. She was principal of the school for nineteen years.
