Three Fort Worth ISD schools -- Mitchell Boulevard Elementary, Luella Merrett Elementary, and Glen Park Elementary – will each receive a $25,000 grant as part of Target’s $5 Million fall giving campaign.
“Earlier this week, Ramona Gutierrez, Target Store Team Leader in Fort Worth, reached out to each of the principals to share the exciting news and they were thrilled!” said Tracy Marshall, Executive Director of the Fort Worth ISD Grants Department. “Each is very excited to be receiving the $25,000 to help with the needs of their campus.”
“Give With Target” is a two-part giving campaign aimed at helping schools across the country just in time for the new school year. Target will provide $2.5 million in grants to 100 in-need schools, as well as up to $2.5 million in Target gift cards to local schools that receive votes on Target’s Facebook page.
“Target wants teachers and students nationwide to have the resources they need to help kids succeed in the classroom,” said Laysha Ward, Target’s President of Community Relations. “With Target’s $5 million donation to schools, we stand by our commitment to help put more children on the path to graduation.”
