A generous donation from Target is giving Fort Worth ISD students, parents and families two different opportunities to express themselves. Applicants are encouraged to use their creativity, and put heart-felt, personal observations into words.
“Winning Ideas” is a student-centered family engagement project. Teams of two to six students will write a proposal to implement and sponsor a family event at their campus that engages families and the school community. Five teams will receive $500 each to make their idea a reality.

The 2nd Annual Parent Recognition Essay Program is designed to recognize the tireless work of FWISD’s outstanding parents and guardians. Essay subjects should be committed volunteers who actively participate in the school community and who create an atmosphere for learning at home that includes working on homework, setting goals for school, preparing for college and their child’s career path.

Proposals and essays must be received by Fort Worth ISD's Parent and Public Engagement Department no later than Friday, February 10, 2012, at 5 p.m.
All winners and applicants will be invited to a special reception sponsored by Target in March.
