   Wildcat Pride

We take great pride in our school, which is named after a great African American writer and poet, Paul Laurence Dunbar. We are also proud of our mascot - The Wildcat - a strong, quick and energetic animal. The Dunbar Middle School Wildcat Pride is reflected in our rigorous academic, strong community and exciting athletic programs.

Dunbar Middle School was constructed in 1984. In its 23 years of existence it has provided quality education to thousands of Fort Worth Independent School District students. We are committed to helping every student achieve success in their academic and extracurricular endeavors. Dunbar Middle School is a leader in the Fort Worth ISD in providing a wealth of learning opportunities before, during and after school.

We encourage our students, parents, faculty and community to become active participants in our school. Dunbar Middle School is 'Simply the Best' in educational excellence, community spirit and Wildcat Pride!
