 The Librarian - Ms. Banks

Mrs. Kendra Banks, Librarian

The opportunity to serve in this capacity opens up all kinds of possibilities for both myself and all who come to participate in the services provided at the Dunbar Middle School Library. I am looking forward to this year. There are lots of ideas, plans and goals that will be unfolding over this school year. The fascinating world of books is waiting for you to enter it at the Dunbar Middle School Library.

 Library Basics

Hours

The Dunbar Middle School Library Media Center is open each morning at 9:00 a.m. Students are welcomed to come in at that time to study, research, return books, browse and check out books, or just READ. The library closes at 4:30 p.m.

Goals and Objectives
Dunbar Middle School Library Media Center is the information hub for the school. In support of Dunbar Middle School's commitment to educational excellence and academic rigor, the Library Media Center collects, organizes, and facilitates access to information resources in many formats. Because teaching is at the heart of what a school library represents, the DMS Library Media Center supports teaching, learning, and research in an intellectually and culturally open environment. The library media center provides instruction in the use of traditional and new information technologies that enhance and reinforce the school curriculum.
