De Zavala Elementary

 

Nestled in the Fairmount community since 1914, De Zavala Elementary School was named after Mexican native and Texas patriot Lorenzo De Zavala.

2005-2006 T.E.A. Recognized

2008-2009 T.E.A. Recognized

2009-2010 T.E.A. Exemplary

Population: 450 Students from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. 

Activities:  Spelling bee, Camp Analytical, Family Reading Night, Mural Club, Running Club, and other monthly meetings.

School Colors: White, Blue, and Gold

Mascot: Eagle

Motto: "You can't hide that EAGLE pride!"

Eagle Pledge:

As an eagle I will do the best to be my best,

I am in charge of the choices I make,

I will treat others the way that I would like to be treated.
