Fire stations to host open houses

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Fort Worth Fire Department will host three open houses in October. Join firefighters for a barbecue cookout, station tours and fun activities for the entire family.

Breast cancer screenings and information will be available at three locations:

  • Oct. 6, Station 3, 4700 Ramey Ave.
  • Oct. 13, Station 17, 212 E. Felix St.
  • Oct. 20, Station 25, 3801 N. Main St.

Open houses are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at each location.

The Fire Department works with the Joan Katz Breast Cancer Center at All Saints Health Foundation to make residents aware of the dangers of breast cancer and ways to fight the disease
