Contreras' Fort Worth After School Program
Alice D. Contreras Elementary has a great after school program. Students begin each afternoon by enjoying a nutritious snack. Next students join their assigned groups and begin working on homework with tutors and reading. Students then rotate through two or three classes of interest. Classes span a wide variety of interests and subjects. Computers, cooking, arts & crafts, weird science, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, art, music, adult literacy, karate, and woodworking are just a small sampling of what we offer. Parents of students enrolled in the after school program are expected to volunteer time to assist with the program. Students must register and be approved to attend the after school program and must follow all district rules and policies to participate. The after school program operates most of the school year and has two summer sessions. To find out more about our after school program you may contact Yazmin Patino.
