Principal - Blaine Buchenau

Mr. Blaine Buchenau has been the principal at Carter Park Elementary since
August 2003. He is very proud to be the principal of a "Recognized" school
for the 2009-2010 school year.

He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in education and completed his Masters in Educational Administration at Texas Christian University. Mr. Buchenau is from the Texas Panhandle and grew up in a small farming community not too far from Lubbock, Texas.

He enjoys working at his school "with the best teachers and students in the whole Fort Worth District." In his spare time, he likes to relax by reading, going to the movies, listening and collecting music, and visiting with family and friends on the weekends.

Assistant Principal - Robbin Crowell

Mrs. Crowell has had the wonderful experience of living in different states in the United States and in other countries. Shortly after her family returned to Fort Worth she began serving the district in 2001 as a bilingual teacher at M. H. Moore.  Mrs. Crowell then went to Cesar Chavez Primary where she had the opportunity to teach students in Kindergarten to second grade and serve all grade levels and teachers as the campus Math Coach. She comes to Carter Park Elementary from the District Elementary Mathematics Division where she served as Cluster Coach.

She received her undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University and graduate degree from Texas Woman's University.  Mrs. Crowell received her administrative certification from Texas Wesleyan.

Mrs. Crowell believes that "investing my life in others, especially children, is the very best thing I can do with my time, talents, and energy."  She is excited to be at Carter Park and to have an opportunity to work with the dedicated staff and eager students.

Aspiring Principal Resident - Becky Putney

Ms. Putney comes to Carter Park as an Aspiring Principal Resident.  She will be working on her Principal certification while she gets hands on experience at Carter Park.

For the past six years Ms. Putney was the Literacy Coach at Ridglea Hills.  Ms. Putney has a variety of teaching experience including Pre-school, 1st grade, and 5th grade.  She has also been an Inclusion teacher, a Gifted and Talented (G/T) teacher, and an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher.

Ms. Putney is the mother of three boys and loves to travel, read, and play tennis. She is looking forward to working with the parents, teachers, and students at Carter Park.
