Principal - Shelly Mayer 

Mrs. Mayer has served as the principal at Benbrook Elementary since 2005, and also served as the assistant principal from 2002-2005.  She taught for nine years in several elementary schools in the Fort Worth Independent School District.  Mrs. Mayer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Texas Wesleyan University in 1992, and her Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2001.  She thoroughly enjoys her work with faculty, students, parents, and community members to provide a rigorous and relevant education for the students of Benbrook Elementary.

Assistant Principal - Kristin Hood

Kristin Hood comes to Benbrook Elementary from Dolores Huerta Elementary, where she also served as assistant principal.  She has nearly 20 years of experience in education, including high-need schools and teaching grades Pre-K through six.  Hood completed her Bachelor's Degree at Baylor University, and Master's Degree at the University of Texas at Arlington.

She believes that all children can learn and that educators have the responsibility of providing each child with and engaging in a rigorous learning environment.   

Secretary - Terri Kincaid 

Mrs. Kincaid served as the secretary at Benbrook Elementary since the fall of 2008.

Data Clerk - Patricia Melcher

Mrs. Melcher is beginning her first year here at B.E. and her first year as a Data Clerk. She worked previously in FWISD as a teacher assistant at M.L. Phillips. 

Librarian/T.I.E. - Lisa Murray  

Ms. Murray has been serving as Librarian for Benbrook Elementary since 2003 and Technology Integration Educator since 2008. She has 17 years experince as an educator with a B.A. from Baylor University and a MLIS from Texas Womens University. She is the person to contact with library issues, AR questions and questions concerning students Active Directory.
