PTA Welcome
Back
Dear Parents,
We are looking forward to the start of a new school year at Arlington Heights.
As many of you have noticed there has been construction on our campus. The
building is getting all new windows, paint, theatrical lights in the auditorium,
power washing, and upgrades to water fountains, bathrooms, sidewalks and
parking lots. These projects are paid for by our school district funds and will
help keep our school looking clean and kept. I feel certain that most of us are
aware of the state budgetary constraints that have kept our schools from
having some extra advantages and this is why I am reaching out to you today.
We need
EVERY family to join the PTA and give what you can to help bridge this
gap. Now more than ever parents are being asked to make sacrifices to
help make our school the best it can be.
Items provided by monies raised by the PTA last year are banners on the
baseball field, west parking lot, and football field. Also a new black iron fence
that borders the east side of the campus. In addition to these physical items,
PTA also provides our teachers yearly with monthly red apple treats, faculty
luncheons from each class, teacher appreciation week items, Homecoming
parade and floats, Senior Celebration and scholarship money for deserving
students.
Registration week is August 20-25 and Senior Celebration Auction is August 18,
these events are your first opportunity to start giving. Our budget comes from
PTA dues, merchandise sales, snack days and donations. I ask that every family
joins and contributes in some way. Our theme this year is
“Be a Life Saver” join
PTA. Please make it a priority to join for $15/family, buy a T-shirt and sign up
to volunteer your time. Help us make a difference for our students and faculty!
Sincerely,
Donna Dozier
