FWISD’S 5th ANNUAL AMERICAN INDIAN STUDENT POW-WOW 

WHAT: Fort Worth ISD American Indian Student Pow Wow 

WHEN: Saturday, October 20, 2012, 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 

WHERE: Billingsley Field House, 1400 Foch Street, Fort Worth, Mapsco 76B (next to Farrington Field) 

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES: Native American dance exhibitions, ceremonial activities, drumming and traditional customs  

Summary: The Fort Worth ISD 5th Annual American Indian Student Pow-Wow will promote the importance of the American Indian heritage.  

This annual event is held to bring awareness to the American Indian community and the District’s American Indian Education program. It is a learning opportunity for students to identify with their heritage and traditions, as well as a learning opportunity for the community at-large.   

The Pow Wow will feature dance contests, a multicultural area and Native arts and crafts, all under one roof.   

The event is open to the general public with free parking and free admission. For additional information please contact Alice Barrientez at 817-814-2875.
