CITY OF FORT WORTH ACKNOWLEDGES FWISD EFFORTS TO COMBAT BULLYING 

Fort Worth, Texas – At its October 9, 2012 meeting, the Mayor and City Council of Fort Worth presented a proclamation to the Fort Worth ISD for its efforts to make all District schools safe learning environments for all students and staff. 

The proclamation against bullying was accepted by Kathryn Everest, the District’s director of Guidance and Counseling. 

 

The Fort Worth ISD has a comprehensive initiative titled “It’s Not Okay” which focuses on behaviors that can place the student and others at risk. Fort Worth ISD is committed to helping our students stay safe.  The "It's Not Okay" initiative encourages students to make healthy decisions and ask for help when they or their friends are in need.
