2012 Parent Survey--More than 1,680 parents have already taken the online survey!

2012 PARENT SURVEY NOW AVAILABLE

Participation Prizes Will Be Awarded!

Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth ISD parents can now participate in the 2012 Parent Survey online! The annual survey is a chance for parents to express their level of satisfaction with the campus as well as sharing ideas on how the District can improve its services.

The survey will remain open until Friday, November 16, 2012. You can access the English version of the survey by clicking here. The Spanish version of the survey is available here. A paper version of the survey will also be sent home with students.

Breaking News: Parents, you spoke -- and we listened. Parents who have been taking the online survey expressed concern that there was no place for them to share additional thoughts, comments, suggestions. Well, now you can. Even if you've already taken the survey, you can share your comments by sending them to parentsurvey@fwisd.org -- they will be viewed confidentially by one person and added to the final report that comprises the Fort Worth ISD 2012-13 Parent Survey.

Thank you, all, again for letting us know what we needed to do!

“We need input from parents,” said Sara Arispe, executive director of Accountability and Data Quality. “We want the best educational experience for your child and getting parents’ opinions is the best way for us to provide that experience.”

As a result of the 2011 Parent Survey the District was able to:

  • Attain additional funding – based on parent identified needs.
  • Measure cultural climate within schools, such as warmth, respect, and friendliness.
  • Measure program impact – whether parents are satisfied with specific programs.
  • Determine impact of communication between schools and parents.

As an extra incentive, you can help your school win $200 for having the largest percentage of participation. Those funds can be used on those campuses for parent participation projects and events.  There will be one prize award made at each of the high school, middle school and alternative school levels. Two awards of $200 each will be made at the elementary school level.

Each FWISD campus is making special arrangements to help parents participate in this survey. Library or computer lab hours may be extended or other computers will be made available.
