What: Parent University sponsored by Target
When: Saturday, January 12, 2013, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Where: South Hills High School, 6101 McCart Avenue, Fort Worth
Summary: The 3rd annual Fort Worth ISD Parent University will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at South Hills High School. Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops to help students at home and to help build parent “tool kits” with strategies and critical information.
Parent University is funded by the generosity of the Target Corp. There will be hundreds of parents learning to help their children at home in literacy, math and science. South Hills High School Gold Seal Programs of Choice Culinary Arts students will cater breakfast and lunch. South Hills High School community partner, Omni Hotel, will conduct a session on resume writing, interviewing tips and job opportunities during their session.
Parents of children in any grade level are welcome to attend.
