"College Experience" Helps with College Preparation 
 
 

 

GET HELP WITH COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID AT COLLEGE EXPERIENCE DAYS

Fort Worth, Texas – The Fort Worth ISD wants to help you get ready for college! The first College Experience information session for the new school year will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Eastern Hills High School. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The College Experience information sessions will assist students with understanding the process of going to college. These sessions are open to all middle and high school students and their parents but are very helpful for high school juniors and seniors, as they prepare for the next big educational step.

This event is a one-stop inclusive service that provides students and their parents with:

  • assistance in completing college applications, scholarship applications, and essays
  • important information on financial aid and how to complete the FAFSA/TASFA (sessions will be both in English and Spanish)

College Experience schedule:

Saturday, October 13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Eastern Hills High School, 5701 Shelton

Saturday, February 16, 2013 – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Poly High School, 1300 Conner

Saturday, March 23, 2013 - 9 a.m. to 1p.m. – Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School, 1411 Maydell

District Educational Partners include: Boys & Girls Club, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Tarleton State University, Tarrant County College, Texas A & M University, Texas Wesleyan University, Texas Christian University, Texas Woman’s University, University of North Texas, UNT-Health Science Center, the University of Texas at Arlington, the North Texas Higher Education Authority and Talent Search.
